Update on Irish Screenings and Events at JDIFF 2010

The Irish Film Board (IFB) is delighted to be the Official Industry Partner of the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival which is currently running until February 28th.

This year there is a strong focus on new Irish films and documentaries presented in association with the IFB.  Neil Jordan's eagerly awaited feature film ONDINE starring Colin Farrell set the festival off to a great start last Thursday,
with both Neil and Colin in attendance.

Hot from critically acclaimed screenings at the Sundance and Slamdance Film Festivals in the US, Ken Wardrop’s award-winning documentary HIS & HERS and Conor Horgan's ONE HUNDRED MORNINGS screened over the weekend and the tense drama SAVAGE directed by Brendan Muldowney will screen next Saturday.

Audiences will get a chance to catch COLONY this evening, the debut feature Irish documentary directed by Ross McDonnell and Carter Gunn which was the winner of the First Appearance Award at the International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam last year.

The world premiere of THE FADING LIGHT directed by Ivan Kavanagh will be on Thursday while the world premiere of the Irish animation THE TREMBLING VEIL OF BONES directed by Matthew Talbot Kelly will screen ahead of Bare Essence of Life
tomorrow.

As well as screening Irish films, a number of industry events will take place over the course of the festival.
