Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board (IFB) in partnership with the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival (JDIFF) are delighted to announce that due to popular demand, a number of extra tickets will be released for the upcoming script writing conference ‘Give Me Direction’. Tickets will go on sale tomorrow Thursday 21st May at 12.00 noon
GIVE ME DIRECTION is a new screenwriting conference focusing on the art and science of writing for the screen. Attended by a mix of Irish and international guests, GIVE ME DIRECTION will be an opportunity to champion great and original writing for the screen and to deepen the IFB’s engagement in addressing industry concerns. The conference will follow an informal, mixed format of sessions and interviews: plus a rehearsed read-through.
Confirmed guests include Shane Black (Lethal Weapon), Shane Meadows and Paul Fraser (A Room for Romeo Brass, Somers Town), Eran Kolirin (The Band’s Visit) and Conor McPherson (The Eclipse).
We have moved the venue of the conference to the Shelbourne Hotel on St. Stephen’s Green to accommodate the large number of delegates who wish to attend the conference. Tickets will be available to buy on www.jdiff.com from 12 noon Thursday 21st May and will be restricted to one ticket per person.
More guests and the full line up for the event to be announced tomorrow May 21st. Places are strictly limited and tickets will be issued on a first come first served basis.
